From an early age, Stacie enjoyed writing in her daily journal, and she wrote her first poem in a GATE class in upper elementary. Her writing habit continued throughout junior high with notes to pass in class to pass the time, and it followed her on through high school, where the “real writing” started.
Stacie’s writing career truly began at the urging of her eleventh grade English/Language Arts teacher. Her poem, “It’s for the Thrill of the Ride,” was published in the popular anthology, A Celebration of Young Poets by Creative Communications in 2001.
Since then, her works have been published in college textbooks and instructor’s manuals by Bedford’s/St. Martin’s and Cengage Learning, marketing campaigns, and blog articles. Her work has earned multiple awards and won several contests. View Stacie’s writing portfolio by clicking the links to Press, Publications, and Prizes.
